"Marketing in the AI era" interview with Lars Lofgren

I've just published the first Marketing for Developers podcast episode. It's an episode with Lars Lofgren, who's done marketing and growth for Dropbox, Automattic, Kissmetrics, and more.

Lots of good takeaways:

  • "Founder-led marketing was always a cheat code. Now it's becoming a requirement.
  • "The people who win right now are the ones who can rise above the AI-generated average ("average" content, "average" product quality, etc).
  • Doing SEO today means building your "entity footprint" across Reddit, LinkedIn, YouTube, review sites, and podcasts first. If Google doesn't recognize who you are, it won't even look at your content.
